Re: AIS feed into VSNG?
Hi all, what is already possible today is to use Boat Beacon on Adnroid or iPhone. This allows you to focus an area on a world map and it displays AIS-based the boats around the center of this area. This information can then also be streamed to another machine in your local network, which could e.g....

Re: OpenCpn and VS NG Gps
Hi, the script is still there https://github.com/srothe-oslo/VSF-Routing You just need to download the file https://github.com/srothe-oslo/VSF-Routing/blob/main/vsfroute-0.8.pyw . Remember you need to have Python 3 installed on your machine in order to run the script. With questions, just send me an...

Re: OpenCpn and VS NG Gps
You do not paste the data. Save your OpenCPN or OpenSeamap data to a .kml file and load this file, using the button in my tool. In the Github repository you find a Wiki, where it is explained how to set the internal identifier (name) within the kml-file, to avoid this error message.

Re: OpenCpn and VS NG Gps
Both is entirely true. I currently support OpenSeaMap and OpenCPN. The Github site with the script also contains a Wiki, which functions as the manual. There I also described how the naming does work. It is unfortunatly not easy to decode the origin from the KML (XML-) file structure, thus the namin...

Re: OpenCpn and VS NG Gps
If you want, you can try this Python script. It works but is not yet considered final from my side. Python 3 Installation needed on your PC. vfsroute-0.7.1 The wiki on my GitHub is not yet complete but already explains the export from OpenCPN and import into vsfroute. Once you converted to VS:NG or ...

Re: Scenery buildings, objects, ships floating in the sky?
Are these floating objects randomly located over water etc?
In this case you can try to empty, but not remove the (text-) file "Tile_Objects" within the respective scenery folder. This helped for me.

Update your WIN7 NOW!
There is absolutely no reason to continue using WIN7 today. It is no longer supported by anybody and it is no longer maintained, thus unsafe!

Re: Virtual Sailor NG is out
Hi Ilan, first of all: Thank you so much for your continued commitmentto this great simulator. As marine geologist I really love the sidescan- and forward sonar options, which literally opens a new world in this simulator. I can't wait to see the first underwater landscapes and wrecks to explore... ...
