Please stay afloat TheLonesomeSkipper.
While still in progress, ULCC Seawise Giant already became an integral part of the hangsim family environment.
The process of creating this magnificent giant is fascinating. And it is really feat to achieve it single-handedly.

There is no questions for ground and naval vehicles in hangsim, since aerial ones do depend on altitude and first of all that concernes their engines. Quadrotor alone works in VSF ...

Re: Scenery Import and Vehicles moving on map
After the move most of the time all of the other vessels have moved as well to some random location. It is a common problem of VS NG and VSF that should be identified. That mysterious phenomenon occurs systematically and surprising at times. I think it is necessary to collect statistics to help Ila...

I still use 3.5 version 2005 and found it quite enough and convenient for animation. Deep Exploration 6.5 (or 5.7) is more powerful of course.

Today I am amazed by New Generation Virtual Sailor and indulge in dreams, but I would disagree with those who are ready to give up Vehicle Simulator. One time, I have choosen Micro Flight among many other promoted flight simulators. MS 'Luxury' simulator 2020 was a significant event for aviation fan...

Re: Missing elements from Sketchup model when converted to X file
Your radars are supposed to have their pivot points at the origin. They are not missing, but walk in a big circle.
If I'm right, assign pivot points and radars must appear. This mistake is typical.

Re: New user - new model WIP
Wellcome onboard, sultanpoppa ! All my VSF models are in meters, so there is no need to define scale ([scale_factor]=1). Pay attention to the metric you use, these should be meters, not deci- or milli- meters. Each type of light in VSF and VS has a visibility sector typical to navigation lights. The...

It looks like the intruder got into download page.
VS installation files (both vsn_update.exe and vsn_minimal.exe) are infected with trojan.
Other downloads seem clean.

You wouldn't believe, this wasn't about fun. I have tested my crazy idea of joining vehicles by means of cables. And your huge FDD55 was the test site. But after the failure, I got to get a little ridiculous, burn off some of that angst. Another crazy idea of double towing has unexpectedly been succ...

Yes it flies, but still in a test mode. The helicoper model does reveal some problems. 1. The first one is just solved in Virtual Sailor 8.9 2. The rotor is very expressive and just as complex part of the helicoper. Modelling fast rotor is even more demanding challenge. Some planes in VSF have no fa...

Re: Objects disappear and reappear as camera is panned
That is more evident with big objects. I have face the issue in VSF with surface objects. The visibility depends on the direction you look from. The distance seems to be calculated from the object coordinates, and this point is not the center, but rather its down-left corner. You can see the object ...

I was also faced with the issue of the animation. But this was in Fire Flight NG. I tested my models for VSF and was eager to try them in NG conditions. Landing gear behaved exactly as your radar there. Then I guessed it was my fault. But everything was Ok in Vehicle Simulator. I checked the other m...
