The old forum is not coming back

Hi Everyone,

Two days ago the old forum stopped working, it seems that my ISP has changed the SQL or PHP versions supported to newer versions, and I could not find a way to make it work.

Anyway a fresh new start is a good idea, especially now that many old users do not follow any more, and new users are often shy to speak.
also it is a good idea for me to get the picture of who are our new audience, and adapt the programs to their needs.

So please go on and post your ideas and concerns, please be civilized and keep the forum clean of bad language.
if there are issues posting please email me directly, I do not follow the forum so often, but will follow my email.

Indeed I had good hopes for it, but they did not come true.
However some of the graphics have been used and developed further into VS NG which I hope will succeed.

I guess I'm probably the oldest of the 'old salts' still around here...dating back to VS5 and MF...over 20 years. I'm sorry that the old forum was lost, as there was a world of expertise in program development and skilled modelling there. But in recent years, the forum had gradually lost momentum, and many users had drifted away.

I'm glad to see an impending revitalization of VS/VSF, and I applaud a dedicated forum section for user suggestions. Perhaps this will bring back some former users from the diaspora!

A former user of MF, VS, FF, alpha tester for NMS, and everyday VSF'er, I'll be happy to throw my two cents' worth into the suggestion box.

Hi Ilan and fellow forum old salts,

I am back here too. Was gone for a while, work work work, but count me in for the new forum and VS NG.
Good to see some of the veterans are still around. The old forum is gone but here is a new one.
On Facebook a lot of people are also pretty active in the VSF and VS groups, but there is not a forum structure.
In the mean time I am back in 3D modeling and full of ideas. Even with my own website to keep track.
Okay, enough talking. I will be here onboard too and hoping to see more of the old salts back.
