I have released version 8.4 today, it also includes important bug fixes and features.
The first issue I have fixed is the issue of objects floating in the air, these were reported for some sceneries,
and at first it seemed to be related with too many tile objects being created inside the file tile_objects.txt
then I saw the some sceneries were using file called sand.txt inside the common directory, this cause the
program to create too many objects and have them floating in the air, because sand.jpg textures was used
everywhere even on the sea bottom.
So, I have also overwritten this file to an empty file, and also limited the size of tile_objects.txt, so this bug
will not happen again, even if someone puts by mistake files such as sand.txt into common directory.
So, here are the main features added by update 8.4
- Fixed objects floating in the air by limiting size of tile_objects.
- Fixed Cannot see buoys on radar.
- Added use tile_objects in land settings.
- Added default sand.txt which to prevent spoiled tile_objects.
- Radar decays more slowly with increased gain.
- More accurate boat size on maps.
- Weapons rendered after main body allowing transparencies to work.
- Added waterjet turning dynamics using vector motor elements.
- Added waterjet boat as a sample of waterjet dynamics.
- Reduced size of propeller cavitation smoke.
- Fixed GPS speed not same as panel speed.
- Thrusters reset on double click.
- Added 32 bit version of the program.
